“Memories” 

On my dresser is a ceramic hand painted dish. The dish was given to me by one of dearest friends. Mary has since gone home to be with our Lord.  I miss Mary terribly even though it has been over 3 ½ years. You see, Mary was not only one of my closest friends, she was also my prayer partner, when you lose your prayer partner you lose a part of yourself. Every day when I go to put my jewelry in the dish I reflect back to all the fond memories of Mary & her love for her Lord and all the lives she touched. 

I love looking throughout my house, be it of pictures my grandchildren have drawn for me or pictures I have of gatherings of family and friends. The memories always bring so much joy into my life. 

As I was reflecting on how much memories mean to me, I then thought what kind of memories will I leave for those that my life has touched? Will memories of me bring smiles and joy to their lives? 

If you and I can remember the teachings of our Lord and apply them to our lives, I know the memories will be priceless. How, do you ask? 

Hebrew 13:9-16 “…do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” (Serving others is a way of thanking God). 

Proverbs 18:24 “A man who has friends must himself be friendly.” (When you see someone in need, be a friend in deed).

Water Baptism

Meadows will be providing the opportunity for you to be water baptized, today immediately following the second service.  Join us in the Courtyard and celebrate with those that make this declaration of their faith.

Cinco De Mayo Fiesta

We are invited to Living Grace Foursquare Church to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. This family friendly event will have games, music and food available. This afternoon, May 4^th from 1-4 at Living Grace. Mother’s Day

Next Sunday for the 9:00 AM service we will be transforming this sanctuary into a lovely breakfast service. If you plan to attend please sign up and let us prepare. Men please see James Moore or Scott Wilson to help serve and honor the Moms of our church.

 Square Four

The final step in our Reaching For the Crown Conference series is Square Four. If you have attended all of the previous conferences, you need to be here! Sign up on the bulletin board in the foyer, so we can prepare materials. Please note if you will need child care.

Worship Practice:

Calling all musically inclined worshipers! The next practice will be on May 15^th and is open to anyone who plays an instrument or sings and is interested in coming. For more information see Michael Rojo. 

Graduation Banquet

Start making plans to join us for our Annual Graduation Banquet held at the Santa Fe Station to honor and celebrate our graduating 8^th grade, High school and College students. Sign up in the foyer and let us know if you are a graduate, and how many will likely be attending so we can begin preparations.
